Brandy – New Patient Coordinator
Brandy has worked with Kelowna Orthodontics since 2001. You will see her either at the front reception desk OR assisting in the clinic with patient care. Brandy will assist you in making your appointments and financial arrangements, as well as discuss your treatment planning at a personal case presentation with you and your family.
With her family’s various school and outdoor activities, she enjoys seeing familiar faces out and about around town, and is proud to be a part of the happy new smiles!
Brandy has been in the field of dentistry since 1990, receiving her Diploma in Medical/Dental Office Administration in 1991 and became a Licensed Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in 1997, both from the Okanagan College. She then obtained her Orthodontic Assistant license in 2000 at UBC.
Melissa – Certified Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Melissa graduated from Okanagan College in June 1994 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She started working in an orthodontic office in September of 1994 doing lab duties. In May of 1995 she took her Orthodontic Module at UBC. She has worked in Orthodontics since. Melissa started working at Kelowna Orthodontics in March of 2000.
Melissa loves working in orthodontics because it is hands-on and very interactive with the patients. She enjoys the beautiful smiles and great results patients achieve. Melissa can see herself doing this for many years to come because Kelowna Orthodontics is great place to work, the staff is fun and the patients make it very interesting.
Tala – Lab Technician
Tala can usually be found working in our office lab making all of the intricate orthodontic appliances and retainers for each patient. Tala was first introduced to orthodontics as a patient herself. After having her braces removed in 1989, she started working in an office learning the lab techniques from some amazing technicians.
The creativity and constant challenges make it exciting and always different. Tala feels that working in the lab can be quite artistic and she loves to design different projects. When she joined Kelowna Orthodontics in 2000, the task of taking the lab on herself was new and exciting. She enjoys working with a great team and a doctor who is personable with his patients as well as the parents.
In her spare time, Tala volunteers at the school for her two teenagers and plays chauffeur to their endless activities. She wouldn’t have it any other way.
Megan – Administration
Megan recently moved back to the Okanagan from the lower mainland where she was first introduced to Orthodontics. She is pleased to be a part of the Kelowna Orthodontics team and being able to be home again. In Megan’s spare time she enjoys cooking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
Casey – Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Casey, a CDA of 7 years, has practiced in both Alberta and BC. She loves her job and enjoys making great smiles for her patients. In her spare time, she is either at the lake or on the ice. Casey is an accomplished figure skater holding a Level 1 coaching certificate. Her little fur baby cat named Bobo is her pride and joy.
Jaclyn – Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Jaclyn grew up in Kamloops and relocated to the Okanagan early in 2020. She graduated from Okanagan College in 2012 as a Certified Dental Assistant and then went on to complete her Orthodontic Module soon after. In her spare time, she likes to bike, hike, camp, and travel.
